New locales for KompoZer 0.8b1
By Kazé on Wednesday, November 18 2009, 00:50 - Permalink
Two locales have just been added to KompoZer 0.8b1:
- the Dutch locale has been done by Freek Pol, aka Frederik, moderator of the Dutch KompoZer forum on MozBrowser.nl.
- the Hungarian one has been done by András Tímár, member of the Hungarian Mozilla team.
The corresponding binaries are already online. Freek, András: thanks for your contribution, you’ve done a great job!
Five Six other locales are almost complete (>95% according to Narro):
- Simplified Chinese (only 10 strings left and I forgot it!!!)
- Japanese (only 20 strings left)
- Finnish
- Brazilian
- Slovenian
- Turkish
If you want to contribute to these translations, please contact us on the #kompozer chan. We’ll provide technical help if needed.
Bonus: Cédric has just packed a few dictionaries for KompoZer 0.8: kompozer.sf.net/l10n/myspell.
The reason is, I’m working on KompoZer’s inline spellchecker at the moment — Thunderbird’s source code is a perfect example for that. Expect to get a fast and reliable spellchecker in the upcoming beta2!

Your download problems are caused by a wrong link on your page. You linked the download button with
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ko...
but the right link to the zip file is
http://sourceforge.net/projects/kom...
You forgot the ".10" after the "current/0.7"
Hello, I've been trying to download your software. I've received the zip file, unzipped it, and tried to continue by clicking on Kompozer.exe. I've tried numerous times and continue to get the same error message:
"entry point ? assignent conversion@nsCString@@ AEXABVnsAString@@@Z can't be found in xpcom.dll."
What can I do to fix this?
Ah....never mind. I had a PKunzip problem that has been solved.
May I suggest 7-Zip for unzipping this and other zipped downloads? It does not produce these sorts of errors for me. (Win XP Pro SP3).
